The philosophy surrounding the origins of writing in China, Korea und Japan
In this course Julie A. Lim will be teaching us even more brush techniques to delve even deeper into the aesthetic beauty of Calligraphy. We will be receiving a founded knowledge of age-old writing such as the Bone and Shell Lettering, the small Zhuan, the Lishu and standard letterings.
Julie Lim teaches us:
- The philosophy of Confucius und Laotse and how even up until today it still effects Calligraphy in China, Korea and Japan
- The story of the 8 immortals and their influence on Taoist culture, the Taoist legends and on Calligraphy
- More daily language, both spoken and written, including the radical popular poems, prose and paintings in Lishu and standard techniques.
- Lucky Symbols on coloured paper
- Further Fu-Characters
Julie A. Lim will be very happy if you want to deepen and expand your knowledge in this special art. Tao-Master Julie A. Lim is teaching in Englisch with German translation.
The course takes place from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., each with a 30 minutes coffee break.
